'Jesus of Nazareth' is good, but I personally prefer 'The Jesus Film' (1979) with Brian Deacon as Jesus. It's based on the Gospel of Luke.

I just got through watching 'The Visual Bible - The Gospel of John' (2003) which I had never seen before. The dialogue and narration is straight out of the 4th gospel account as rendered by the Good News Bible translation. It's basically watching and listening to the Gospel of John instead of reading it.

My vote is for a Christmas Story, too. I read the book on the other one--it was better, leaving far more for the imagination.
