I don't get why people on Earth would say that the rich people won't make it to Heaven when anyone who accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior will be in Heaven.
It's because people confuse relying on riches to get into Heaven or putting wealth before God with having a lot of money in general.
If you have a lot of money but put God first in your life then of course you can be make it to Heaven. The ones who care more about money then God are the ones that Jesus was referring to. Luke 18:22-27

Jesus tells the church of Laodiceans ....``I know your works which are neither cold or hot, I would prefer you cold or hot ..so then because you are lukewarm , and neither cold nor hot , I will spit you out of my mouth ... Because you say I am rich , and increase with goods and have need of nothing , and knows not that you are wretched and miserable , and poor , and naked ........ I counsel you to buy from me gold tried in the fire , that you may be rich , and white clothes , that you will need clothed and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear , and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see ...as many as l Love I rebuke and chasten , be zealous therefore and repent ```..........See here is Jesus correcting His church were many people where wealthy , and had no desires because they had everything they needed , were the grace of God was not needed and Jesus could not bless them , and Jesus seen them as poor in their development for Heaven...And needed them to seek first the kingdom of heaven and all thing would be added and the treasures would be in heaven ........See one heart of God is charity and they must be willing to give charity to Jesus and be willing for rich people to receive charity from Jesus ....

Often, it's the rich people that are the ones that are too proud to trust in Christ.
There are parables throughout scripture warning against trusting in the things the world trusts in; instead of in God. In this world, "The love of money is the root of every kind of evil", the greatest of which is to make money, wealth, fame one's God.
Otherwise, people "say" a lot of things, many of which only sound good to those who don't know any better, but, are really only meaningless opinions. That's why it's best to get one's truth from God's Word, the Bible. The Bible says several things that some might interpret as 'the rich will not enter heaven', but, the Bible doesn't really say anywhere that the rich won’t make it into heaven. (eg; 'eye of needle," "what shall it profit", "love of money" etc.).
That makes us not able to go to heaven. I am rich compared to a homeless man. We are all rich when compared to the super poor.
But a millionaire is poor compared to bill gates. So the whole rich thing is only a mindset. We are all rich in Christ.

Of course since you take nothing with you, if you go to heaven, no one is materially rich there in any event.
But this is the answer to the OP's question. It is this statement that they make broader statements about.
