I keep a copy of My Utmost For His Highest in my vehicle and try and read that day's devotion every morning before I get out of my car.

Thank you Silas.

This is awesome.

I know I am often guilty of rejecting 'free' help or gifts from people who earnestly just want to try and help me. I always have this nugget of pride that says 'I don't need a handout. I can take care of my needs myself."

I think, at times, a part of that spills over into my spiritual life as well. I tell Jesus "Thanks and all, but I'll work and earn that 'free' gift you're offering."

Totally wrong.

I needed this.

Thanks again.

Letting go of our own control... being accepting... submitting... things we all need reminded of now and again. Thank you.

Thanks Silas..I know that I am guilty of forgetting that God also shows his love for me through his other children..I sometimes forget the times I was destitute, and found out that a handout or sympathetic ear was only an expression of love from someones gift of compassion...
