2 Corinthians 2:19 - how far removed is the preaching and mindset of today's believers...

God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself - not counting men's sins against them - and has given us this (same) ministry of reconciliation.

Not condemnation (you need to quit --- and get right with God) or worse, damnation (you need to quit --- and get right with God or burn in hell); but instead sharing with the world that God has already made peace with us through the cross, and that people don't need to fear...

...simply come as you are.

No doubt there is definitely a lot of "Feel Good" preaching going on these days and people don't want to be confronted about their sins. However, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever more. The church has changed but God hasn't he's still the same. I personally can't be bothered with churches preaching a watered down gospel. Then again I was raised Pentecostal and taught nothing but the true word of God. No sugar coating if you're a sinner you're going to hell period unless you repent of your sins and turn from your wicked ways. None of that "once saved always saved" crap.

True, in Noah's day anyone could have gotten on. However only 8 did. A definite lesson.

Jesus did not teach that. Paul misleads.

The righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.

Jesus taught that He came for the sinner, not the righteous. That our lives change as a result of our commitment to the love of Christ is a given, but the point here is that it is not condemnation for our past lives that was being taught, it was reconciliation in Him.

Of course Jesus doesn't teach that. He had not died yet.

Jesus taught ; "If the son frees you, you shall truly be free."

He says to continue in His word, like;

"If you continue in my word you are truly my disciple then you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free."

Wait, he said the son will truly make you free but also said the truth sets you free. Oh, I get it. Truly comes from the word truth. So it is the word you speak that He has taught that makes you the son. So in spreading the word of God you become the son and this is what frees you. Ya, now I get it . Now it all makes sense.
