I know Christmas time is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but I don't believe His birth was during December. What do the rest of you think?

I agree with you. From what I've read and heard, most people believe he was most likely born in the fall sometime. Not all of the presidents were born on President's Day either, but we still observe it then. I just don't get all worked up over something as insignificant as being accurate to the time of his birth. At least we are setting aside a time to honor him. That's all that is important.

You didn't take into account leap years.

I actually think His birth took place in the spring, considering sheppards were in the fields tending their flocks; which indicates grazing. Winters are brutal in that area, and I would think flocks would be corralled and fed.

LOL!
One of the members of our church, a retired pastor, had researched this quite a bit and his best guess is that Jesus was born on September 18th. I don't remember why he came to this conclusion.
(Our best friend's birthday is on Sept. 18th. After hearing this, I started kidding him telling him that I didn't know he was born on Christmas Day!)

I agree with Sarge on the birth probably being in Spring/Summer.

Having said that, I must make one off-topic comment.

Something has happened to me today that NEVER....I mean NEVER has happened before and I would have NEVER, I mean NEVER thought it would EVER happen. On the post quoted above, I received this shocking message:
