I agree absolutely not. There is no Biblical or historical proof He was born during this time. That brings the question--why do people celebrate a birthday by giving each other gifts because of someone that was not born on that day? Seems silly to me. But y'all know me.
The only reason we celebrate Jesus' birth in December is because it is the event that set our modern calendar, even though his birth didn't actually occur on December 25th.
Many agree that Jesus was actually born in the early fall, and about 4 years before the year 0, or 4 B.C.
I'd say he's not doing too bad for a 2011 year-old Jewish carpenter from Nazareth, since billions of people love him very much, even 1,977 years after his crucifiction and resurrection.
