I am not complaining about the doctrine, I am merely pointing out what it is: speculation that has no bearing on living in the love that is the Way Jesus taught.
Yes it is taught in the Bible. As with the Trinity doctrine it just took time to sharpen the understanding of what the Bible reveals about the Hypostatic Union of Jesus Christ. And the video explained, although briefly, why the other beliefs - Arianism, Ebionitism, Subordinationism, Adoptionism, Docetism, Gnosticism, Apollinarianism, Monothelitism, and Monophysitism are not valid.

And those of you who are constantly talking about love, if you truly loved Christ you would obey the command to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). If you really wanted to know Christ in a fuller, more intimate way you would not shy away from understanding everything that the Bible reveals about Him.

Ditto, the above.

And the point remains that such speculation and the subsequent circles drawn to exclude those who don't buy into it detract from the intimate relationship with the Father through the Son expressed in that concern for the well-being of everyone.
Overanalyzing is not part of a healthy relationship, it is an expression of a tenuous commitment.

If there was mixture of the attributes of His humanity with the attributes of His deity then He would be part god and part man rather than fully God and fully man. That rules out Monophysitism.

Since Jesus is fully God and yet fully man that rules out beliefs such as Arianism which denies that Jesus is fully God. And Ebionitism which claims that Jesus is only a man. And Subordinationism which claims that Jesus is inferior to God the Father. Also ruled out is Adoptionism which claims that Jesus began his life as just a human being and was later adopted by God to be His Son.

And since Jesus is fully God and fully man that rules out beliefs such as Docetism which teaches that Jesus only appeared to be a man. And Gnosticism which taught that Jesus was simply a spirit in human form. And Apollinarianism which taught that Jesus' human body was real but His mind was divine is ruled out. Also ruled out is Monothelitism which taught that while everything else about Jesus was human, His will was divine.

With those beliefs ruled out as possibilities based on Scripture, what is left is what is called the Hypostatic Union which is the formal definition of the relationship between Jesus' two natures. That doesn't mean we can understand all the intricacies involved, but it does increase our understanding about the matter. The early church considered it important enough to iron out the details, and personally, I don't know how any believer could not be interested in understanding the Person of Jesus Christ better. But obviously there are those who aren't.

And it seems from the lack of comments on this thread other than from a couple of the usual detractors, (only one person made a positive comment; Post #5) that there aren't many on this forum who are interested. I am probably just wasting my time with posting this kind of subject matter on this forum. And probably with posting anything at all. I had said that earlier and then deleted it, but this forum really is pretty much just a waste of time.
Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God...the seventh from Adam, whom God adopted, and clothed in the garments of His Glory. It's a love story...and Mike, we love you bro! Don't stop posting! Every member of the body of Christ is of paramount importance unto the day of completion. Have a good night.
