Too many call themselves,Christians when obviously by their actions prove they are not. Notice just in the US, according to the Pew Polling, there are 60,000 religions claiming to be Christians. Obviously they are lying. Ephesians 4:5 shows, "one Lord, ONE FAITH, one baptism....one God over all."
60,000:1 means,a problem. They are false Christians or anti-theists, calling themselves Christendom.
In contrast, there are those who obey the Bible and make it a part of their lives daily. This can be called True Christians. They work to earn that title by studying, reasoning with deep thought and application of what is learned. Only they deserve the title of Christians.
Because weeds infested and took over the church and ...................... we have the mess we have today.
Good point ^ above ^ because Jesus foretold how genuine ' wheat ' Christians would grow together with the fake ' weed/tares ' Christians until the harvest time or the soon coming ' time of separation ' of Matthew 25 vs 31,32
The weed/tares are the MANY who come ' in Jesus' name ' but prove false as written in Matthew chapter 7.
Gospel writer Luke wrote also forewarning that false shepherds would mislead the flock of God - Acts 20 vs 29,30
So, it should come as No surprise that the fake ' weeds ' have infested the ' houses of worship '.
False clergy have seated themselves in the ' temple ' [ houses of worship ] as if they are speaking for God when in reality they are anti-God. - 2nd Thess. 2 vs 2-8
Believing in the Bible, does not make you a Christian.
What about worshipping the BIBLE - does that make you a Christian? Was Jesus a Christian? Just a couple of questions that came to mind upon reading this.
its not what you believe that matters its what you do about it that counts.

What makes you a Christian is following Christ's instructions to His disciples to "love God and each other" daily and repent when we don't, period! Everything else is human vanity and hubris gone wild.

Interesting questions, do you think Christ would have considered MAHATMA GANDHI as being Christian?
He did not worship the Bible or Christ, but considered the "Sermon on the Mount" as one of the greatest teachings of Christ.
Much in lines with Martin Luther King, Jr., as all of them walked the path of nonviolence that led to their deaths.
