Why is the graven image commandment ignored by everyone?

Its basically an Idol commandment.

Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
— Exodus 20:4-6 (KJV)

grav·en im·age
noun
plural noun: graven images
a carved idol or representation of a god used as an object of worship.

If youre worshiping the cross rather than Jesus who died on it, you dont have a good understanding of the bible.

Do followers of the other Abrahamic religions share your interpretation?

I would assume if they believe in the bible and that its true, as well as hold onto the commandments, then yes they share my thought.

The Hebrews interpret this as a depiction of the human form. Their early art depicted human bodies with animal heads.

The followers of Islam used intricate pattern design as art rather than depict the human form.

I believe that early Christians interpreted the commandment in the same way.
