Actually, the doctor only prescribes the meds, they don't actually administer them. They give instructions on how to do it, but it is up to you to do the deed. One poor woman threw up after taking them and the family was in a panic. They called the doctor who told them to come get a syringe of the poison and they could administer it themselves. Sorry, I don't want to be in the position to stick the needle in my love ones arm.

In the Netherlands the doctor will do the deed though and in some cases will do it if just the family says to do it, they don't need the patient to agree.

What "compassion part" have I jumped over, Janelle? I don't understand what you mean by that.

What does the video have to do with you vilifying those who see this issue differently than you? I don't see the connection, Janelle, I'm sorry.

The point, Janelle, is that you, like the author of the article posted in the op and like twin, speak of people who hold a different view on this topic than your own in such a way that it betrays your mindset about them. You attribute to them the most callous, uncaring, unfeeling motives. Can't you see that saying the young woman dying of brain cancer was HAPPILY ending her life when that was blatantly untrue is a way for you to dehumanize her so that you can ignore her? And it is also an attempt to get others to ignore her and others like her.

Am I surprised that anytime you find yourself in opposition to what God says in the Holy Bible and I repeat what God says, that you'd decidedly find fault with what God says in the Holy Bible ? .... nope.

God says "I am LORD, there is no other" and "There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life".
God through Holy Scripture tells us, “This is love for God: to obey his commands” (1 John 5:3).

Nowhere does God command people that they have a FREE WILL \ CHOICE to actively commit a cognitive self murder or for a doctor to assist in cognitive self murder.
