In Luke 8 Jesus said that without the word of God there is no salvation. He said they hear the word but then lose it so they cannot believe and be saved. So to believe it is necessary to have the word of God. Then He goes on to say those in the good soil hold fast to the word of God and bear fruit. So bearing fruit has something to do with the word of God. Correct?

How do you read it?

The parable of the shower.

Luke 8:5
"A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell on the path and was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up.
6 Some fell on the rock; and as it grew up, it withered for lack of moisture.
7 Some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew with it and choked it.
8 Some fell into good soil, and when it grew, it produced a hundredfold." As he said this, he called out, "Let anyone with ears to hear listen!"
9 Then his disciples asked him what this parable meant.
10 He said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God; but to others I speak in parables, so that "looking they may not perceive, and listening they may not understand.'
11 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 The ones on the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 The ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe only for a while and in a time of testing fall away.
14 As for what fell among the thorns, these are the ones who hear; but as they go on their way, they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.
15 But as for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patient endurance.

The "word of God" seems like what the Old Testament would have called "wisdom."

The word becoming flesh refers to human beings putting that divine wisdom into action.

Nice.

That is why Jesus said that those who enter by Him will be saved. But He has said to be saved one must bear fruit and have the word of God so it is to do as He did and use the word to be saved. He was saying to enter by His example, His ways of sowing the seed, the word of God.

It is written in the prophets;

Proverbs 4:1-13

Hear, O children, a father's instruction, be attentive, that you may gain understanding!
Yes, excellent advice I give you; my teaching do not forsake.
When I was my father's child, frail, yet the darling of my mother,
He taught me, and said to me: "Let your heart hold fast my words: keep my commands, that you may live! "Get wisdom, get understanding! Do not forget or turn aside from the words I utter.
Forsake her not, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will safeguard you;
The beginning of wisdom is: get wisdom; at the cost of all you have, get understanding.
Extol her, and she will exalt you; she will bring you honors if you embrace her;
She will put on your head a graceful diadem; a glorious crown will she bestow on you.
Hear, my son, and receive my words, and the years of your life shall be many.
On the way of wisdom I direct you, I lead you on straightforward paths.
When you walk, your step will not be impeded, and should you run, you will not stumble.
Hold fast to instruction, never let her go; keep her, for she is your life

Faith is exercised by using Gods Words , like when you pray use Gods promises , as Holy Spirit knows Gods Words ...So No Word of God , then no faith where it is impossible to please God with no faith

The problem, Peacegiver, is that you seem to equate that "word" or "wisdom" to the words used rather than the idea expressed. Think about it.

God never said to speak His ideas to one another but He did say to speak the truth to one another. Jesus never said He gave the ideas the Father gave Him to His followers but He did say He gave the words the Father gave Him to His followers.

It is written in the prophets;

"Speak the truth to one another, judge righteously and let honesty and peace be at your gates."

"The man who comes to me hears my word and puts it to use."

"If you abide in me and my word abides in you, you may ask what you will and your will shall be done for you."

"if anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not condemn him, for I did not come to condemn the world but to save it.
Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words he already has his judge, namely, the word that I have spoken that’s what will condemn him on the last day,
because I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and speak.
And since I know that his commandment is eternal life what I say is spoken just as He instructed me."

What is the difference between what you propose and magic?

No, thank you. I don't believe magic is appropriate to relating to God or anyone else, and saying that there is actual power in words themselves is tantamount to magic.

It is written God said let there be light and there was light. Is that magic?
