We discover the will of God in the Holy Bible, the Word of God. Many "religious denominations" have added to or subtracted from the Word of God, turning it into a lie.

Yet...you are here telling me that you have to be obedient...and then you admit you aren't. So what are you going to do?

Drop the OT, ignore Paul and get about understanding and applying only what Jesus was reported as advising...see if that helps clear up the mess.

Then Jesus was wrong because he did not drop the OT he quoted it quite a few times.If we follow Him we must keep it close.

But, IIRC, each time He quoted the OT, it was to say HE now superseded it..

No he explained and applied what referred to him and some things for us. That isn't all that is there. He showed we can read and study it and ....learn what applies to other things in our life as well. The words "Old Testament" are a poor description because it contains far more than just info about that original testament/covenant. Lots more. Just as the words "new testament" do not cover all that is in it.

He used it to establish His bona fides
as the Son of God. He overwrote many things in it . . . "You have heard, but I say . . . " to reveal the true Spirit of agape love who IS God. We must apply that same Spirit to test the Spirit of every verse to discern which are God-inspired truth and which are man's creations.

It is USEFUL (profitable) but ONLY when we have tested the Spirit of each verse against the Spirit of agape love who IS God using the truth God has "written in our hearts."

Old wine New wine..
The Bible Should just say on the Front cover a verse from Revelation...Chapter 22;
. 13"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." 14Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.…

In addition see Rev. 21:[27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
