I'm looking for lots of short (1 or 2 sentences) sayings that have anything to do with the subject of a grateful attitude. It could be quotes from the bible or other writings, either verbatim or your paraphrase with your own unique spin, or just a saying you've seen and appreciated. Whatever.
I know there are some exceptionally talented fortune cookie writers on this forum , and while gratitude isn't specifically a Christian value, of course, it's certainly been important to many Christians I know to cultivate such an attitude, so this seemed like a good place to ask.
This might be longer than you were looking for, but I love it:
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos to order,
confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast,
a house into a home,
a stranger into a friend.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today,
and creates a vision for tomorrow.
The attachment ("I am thankful for...") I am so glad you posted that. I heard it once in church and have been hoping to see it in print ever since. It's definitely a keeper.
