I find this incredibly amusing and ironic on so many levels.
Of course all thinking people understand things don't work this way. Plagues are the realm of Satan. Why would Satan not protect those who do his will?
And why would God not visit such plagues on those who persecute his believers?
God set the world into motion, gave us a few guidelines, then went on his merry way. Nope, folks, we are on our own here.

You are a Deist, not a Christian if you think that way. Christians know God loves everyone and cares deeply about what happens to them. The world could not even exist if "God went his merry way."
Knowing that we have at least two members who have experienced flesh-eating disease, I'm closing this out of consideration for the painful memories those members have.
