Does spirit have gender? can a spirit be male or female? if so, what are the distinguishing factors? are those factors physical or material - or are they spiritual and immaterial? what is the definition of a spirit?

Isn't gender specifically intended as a means to carry out sexual activity?

What need of sex has a spirit?

There are many different theories on that. Some say our souls have no gender, and some even say that we live many lives here on earth both as male and female.

Personally, I think our souls do have male/female energies. I think that there is more to being a male or female than just physical characteristics. So yeah, I think our souls can have a gender.

I think if the Spirit does have a "gender" that it would hold very little importance one way or the other. I just see it as a non-issue.

Just opinion.... and observation.

As the Trinity is 3 in one, and husband and wife are one flesh it's reasonable to assume that God's Spirit is masculine but a marriage being one flesh is both.

The Holy Spirit has always been masculine for me but feminine for my wife and is the universal translator for the Lord of gender specific tongues.

Spirit is ALWAYS male.

All flesh is female, and when you take on a husband, he is a spirit that is to rule the entire creature. AS a male inside a female.
