If you listen to kingdom preaching, you'll get a lot of scripture about "when you pray, believe that you receive it and you shall have it" (Mark 11:24), and other scripture about who we are as children of God. The more you hear, the more your faith is increased (Romans 10:17).

(This stuff is crazy to the carnal mind, but again - it's Kingdom stuff.)

You walk away knowing (not really believing in the hoping mode, but a rock solid faith) that nothing is impossible with God. I had a busted water line under my front yard that had my yard full of water, and my bill was 3 times normal.

I walked out in the yard and threw my hands in the air, and said, "God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob - this is nothing in the face of your power! This line is fixed in the name of Jesus!"

Next water bill was lower, and next was normal - it's been normal for the last 24 bill cycles.
I don't know how we got on to anecdotal miracle stories proving God, but these really cut no ice. Even supposing you are not one of those people who don't let the facts get in the way of a good persuasive miracle, we have no was of knowing what facts you might have amended or misremembered or left out or were unaware of.

It's the old 'This is unexplained - so the explanation is a miracle'.

Yea, it seems G-d went from performing major miracles, like slappin' the stuffing outta Pharaoh and parting the Reed Sea, to finding lost pencils and fixing plumbing...

And who told you that this was an accurate reporting?...And have you tried to move a mountain just by telling it to?...

Remember the blind guy that Jesus healed, then he got interrogated and he said, "All I know is I was blind, and now I see."

I got a dry yard and nobody ever touched a thing - that's all the proof I need.

Edit: 2 Samuel 6:11 for your enjoyment.

You don't know that no one touched it. Why do you reject the idea that your prayer was answered by a repairman doing his job?

Can you please make the rounds of children's hospitals? Because I think 6-year-old's with leukemia need healing more than your water line.
