Haven't seen my friend at church in about two months. Would it be weird to casually say "Hey, haven't seen you at church lately" or would this comment put them on the spot to where they would feel they would have to explain???
I think you should. Sometimes when people are having personal issues, or feel ignored by their church, they stop attending for a while.
If no one asks why, their suspicions are confirmed and they just don't come back.
Showing that you care, is a good thing!
Since you see this person every day not asking is stranger that asking.
I'm in the MYOB camp really, but if you feel this person may be having some "crisis of faith" that they might actually want help with, I think making a simple comment or even sending them a note is better than asking. But only if you're actually friends with them or bible-study partners or something like that at church.
