Why would a person need to read a book to love their Father/Creator/God?
Why would they need to have heard the name Jesus or Krishna or Vishnu?
You need no pen or paper or temple or pastor to love God.
I, personally, think it helps tremendously ha, to say the least) to have
experienced the Divine ...
otherwise what is one loving? Something in their imagination? An idea?
A story someone told you?
I just dunno.

This absolutely correct. You cannot be a lover of one and not the other. To truly know God is to be filled with the knowledge of life that can only be found in the good book. It fills you with the spirit and light of his word.

I wouldn't want to categorize anyone who has NOT had an experience of God as loving their imagination or a mere idea. We can sense God in many ways. I can understand your views, Miss H., because I did not love any God prior to my experience. So, in truth, it really WAS my experience that enabled me to love God. The love was so overpowering and unmistakable, I was left with no choice but to try to explain it to my intellect . . . what my detractors call confirmation bias. Nevertheless, I would not presume that my experience is a necessary event to love God or to experience God. Many seem to have achieved very similar epiphanies and devoutness in other ways.

"The son can only do what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does the son does likewise for the Father loves the son and whatever he does He shows him."

"If the son frees you, you shall truly be free."

"Man does not live by bread alone but by every word from the mouth of God."
