I am challenging Christians, usually of the fundie persuasion,
who proselytise but do nothing worthwhile in a practical way to help others.
I think that is great.
Another question is...How would someone recognize you as a Christian...any difference
from anyone else of any other group?
Do you inspire people to ask, "How do you do it?
What's your secret to your consistent happiness?"
If one person looks at themselves and asks..."How would anyone KNOW I was a Christian?", great.
If they answer, 'Because they see me going to church every Sunday'...
that doesn't say a lot to me.
My gay, non-church-going neighbor of 15 years is the kindest!, nicest!, most generous!, most
forgiving! person I have EVER known....consistently, such an inspiration...
sad only when his mom's visit is over from Minnesota.
Can a Christian here think someone would say that about them? If so...wonderful.

Their message is totally flawed, it is built on the sinking sand of consenting to a belief.......... Demons according to their bible recognized and consented to Jesus being the son of God . The most important person to reach is the one we look at in the mirror in the morning. We can love no one if we cannot first learn to love ourselves.
There are some Christians who do a lot for others, but would probably do so even if they were non believers. However there are other Christians who think they have done their bit by running off at the mouth about their faith, but do nothing practical to help those in need! Deeds are much better than words, imo.
Faith without works (or actions) is dead. James (if I remember correctly) states somewhere; Show me your faith without action and I'll show you my faith by my actions. It also talks about telling the starving naked child to cover up and be filled while not giving him anything to help him achieve that.
If you truly understood, you wouldn't have even made the statement in your first post.
The thread title is fine - but then you followed up with an attack. I was asking you - if you were asking a question from the thread title, or attacking certain people from your first actual post.
FYI - The red above is impossible - we can start another thread on that.
Are you the type of Christian that is all talk?
I do agree with you about the was a born again christian deal. You either are or not
In the end, just make sure you are following Christ. Because if you are following Christ, He will tell you when it's time to give - and He will tell who to help.
Do you have a relationship with Christ in that He relates to you personally?
I just became born again in May, but I think my latest contributions to the world are my more pleasant and positive attitude towards things.
