God was/is. Jesus agreed & came to save us. See John 3.

3 The scribes and the Pharisees *brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court, 4 they *said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?” 6 They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. 7 But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. 10 Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.

Stop moving the goal posts. Jesus did not go around calling folk out for their sin. He never once said directly to a prostitute, tax collector, publican or anyone else you fundies call sinners and said you are this that or the other or you are doing this that or the other ....... But a blind man on a galloping horse can see in the gospels that he scolded the fundies relentlessly because of their hypocrisy, false beliefs and tradition, which they tried to impose upon those they were judging to be beneathe them.

Are you also do blind to see who threw the woman caught in adultery at Jesus' feet ?. Thank God that every time you fundies throw someone at his feet he always says neither do I condemn you, you're free to sin no more. This was typical of Jesus defending those condemned by the sin conscious fundamentalists.

Read John 3:18-21. Everyone is condemned (by God), unless they are born again.

But it's not what scripture actually says. Pcamps has a nasty habit of changing scripture to fit his theology.

You accuse pcamps of changing the bible to fit his theology when you JUST added the words "by God" to this passage to fit yours. That ain't what it says.

Not what we were talking about, but everyone who does not come to the Way will learn.
