Actually Adam did sin before God , as they both disobeyed the Word of God from Genesis 3:6 ...``And she took the fruit there , and she did eat , and she also unto he husband with her and he did eat `` ,.... where God told them from Genesis 2:17 ...``But the tree of knowledge of good and evil , you will not eat of it , for in the day that you eat from it you will surly die ``............ See they both disobeyed God`s command ...............Then Adam blamed his disobedience to God command on the women before God from Genesis 3:12 ......``The woman who you gave to be with me , she gave me of the tree and I did eat ``.............. Were Adam never said the women forced the fruit down his throat ``...... So Adam devalued the women which is a sin and blamed her for his sin
Eve did not exist at gen 2:17. Why didn't t eve drop over dead after the first bite?
Preposterous!!! What an evil God you present as your Lord. Sin is simply "missing the mark" aka being wrong. Our entire species was "missing the mark" (failing) to achieve what we are created to achieve. Jesus came to do what we could NOT. He is our "designated hitter" and He hit a Grand Slam." We no longer have to worry about "missing the mark" because He hit it for all of us and connected all human consciousness to God. He saved us from permanent separation from God, period. We had nothing to do with it and we have nothing to do with it. Jesus did it and it is finished. All this angst and concern over being saved is misplaced. We have nothing to do with our salvation. We have to achieve sanctification under the perfect agape love (Grace) of Jesus by loving God and each other every day and repenting when we don't. Everything else is nothing but human vanity and hubris created out of human ignorance and superstition.Nonsense. Jesus said God is NOT counting our sins against us so why would He hold someone else's sins against us?
This bounces off those who's ears are shut and hearts hardened but to all of the others....worth the price of admission, this one paragraph.
its not a literal story so we need to see what it teaches. To do that we should look at how changed through time. What story is adam and eve derived from? whats the the original story?
2 Corinthians 5:19New International Version (NIV)
19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
No, He didn't say that. You are quoting Paul and the writer of Hebrews. Admittedly, it is true, but Jesus didn't say what you are attributing to Him. What He did say was John 3, which says that to be saved, one must believe in the Son, or else remain under condemnation.

actually are not BOTH just paraphrases attributed to what Jesus MIGHT have said had there been witness?
Eve, the mother of all living, was Adam's stony heart? Really. I find this insulting, to be quite frank and very misogynistic as well.
Well, that would be funny since I'm female. Never the less, what I said is true. Get your eyes off the flesh and you can see it, too. The whole of the book is about soul and spirit. Peace
Ah, so now all the symbolic trappings are dropped and you want to pretend it is about specifics, typical. The House of Israel is the one established by Christ as He is the one who institutes the New Covenant. That house includes every single human being because Jesus is the Savior of the whole World, NOT just the Jews.
Well, apparently the writer of Hebrews also wanted it to be about "specifics" too. The truth is so pesky, isn't it? Peace

How would you know?
