We no longer have to worry about "missing the mark" because He hit it for all of us and connected all human consciousness to God. He saved us from permanent separation from God, period. We had nothing to do with it and we have nothing to do with it. Jesus did it and it is finished. All this angst and concern over being saved is misplaced. We have nothing to do with our salvation. We have to achieve sanctification under the perfect agape love (Grace) of Jesus by loving God and each other every day and repenting when we don't. Everything else is nothing but human vanity and hubris created out of human ignorance and superstition.Nonsense. Jesus said God is NOT counting our sins against us so why would He hold someone else's sins against us?
This bounces off those who's ears are shut and hearts hardened but to all of the others....worth the price of admission, this one paragraph.

its not a literal story so we need to see what it teaches. To do that we should look at how changed through time. What story is adam and eve derived from? whats the the original story?

No, He didn't say that. You are quoting Paul and the writer of Hebrews. Admittedly, it is true, but Jesus didn't say what you are attributing to Him. What He did say was John 3, which says that to be saved, one must believe in the Son, or else remain under condemnation.

actually are not BOTH just paraphrases attributed to what Jesus MIGHT have said had there been witness?

Just imagine how much bickering there would be between Christians if you weren't all working with the same God-inspired book!

Well, that would be funny since I'm female. Never the less, what I said is true. Get your eyes off the flesh and you can see it, too. The whole of the book is about soul and spirit. Peace

Well, apparently the writer of Hebrews also wanted it to be about "specifics" too. The truth is so pesky, isn't it? Peace
