So.....G-d is love and the whole of the law and prophets hang on love. Ok...let's examine that deeply instead of making it a bumper sticker.
Keep that thought for a moment. WHY do you suppose it was worded that way, the LAW/TORAH and the PROPHETS, HANG on love? You all are not seeing the OBVIOUS. He was the TORAH AND PROPHETS/WORD made flesh, and THAT which He was/is, HANGS on what, exactly? Three guesses and the first two don't count.
NO GREATER LOVE has any man than he lay down his life (ON THE CROSS, the LAW/TORAH AND PROPHETS MADE FLESH IN YOU) for his friends.
Why do you all think Paul said to the Galatians that he would stay with them UNTIL CHRIST (LAW/TORAH AND PROPHETS MADE FLESH) was FORMED IN THEM?
And what is the destination of that "flesh"? TO GO TO THE CROSS for his friends. And like it or not, what the Law and the prophets produce are what do exactly that, OR YOU DON'T HAVE HIS LOVE, EITHER, because that's the 3 way cord that is not easily broken.
Wanna know why? Because the law and the prophets are each as a "stone" and WITHOUT BOTH STONES a man CANNOT be a priest (offer sacrifices for sins, as in FATHER FORGIVE THEM THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO), which is the foundation of HIS LOVE, not your "feel good emotions, throw OUT the law and prophets", bullwhoop you've been fed, and THIS is what SETS PEOPLE FREE OF THEIR SINS, not the former.
So when ANYONE is setting people FREE of their sins, which is witnessed by their "earth-en" vessel following suit (ie. which is easier to say, be healed or thy sins are forgiven thee?), best listen to them, not to the voice of the world that hates the law and the prophets lest you be disqualified as man with broken stones. So we get sophistry, which in no way explains that the principle of order is love, not law, and without it law is worthless. Nor does it in any way explain how that basis in love is contradicted by anything "more."

The truth of this is anathema to those who fear and obey a wrathful God who needed to be appeased by a blood sacrifice of an innocent to forgive us. They do NOT know the God who IS Agape love, nate.
