Because recently I have read some 'things'! Said with a Mafia/Soprano's accent.
Wanna tell us your 'idea'?
Or do you have a direct experience? (Different than supposition, guessing, speculation, concepts
or from reading...
which means on the ''outside looking in"...from another's perspective, no less! As in, hearsay!)
Thank you.

For the believer in Jesus Christ, the Bible tells us that after death believers’ souls/spirits are taken to heaven, because their sins are forgiven by having received Christ as Savior (John 3:16, 18, 36). For believers, death is to be “away from the body and at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23). However, passages such as 1 Corinthians 15:50-54 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 describe believers being resurrected and given glorified bodies. If believers go to be with Christ immediately after death, what is the purpose of this resurrection? It seems that while the souls/spirits of believers go to be with Christ immediately after death, the physical body remains in the grave “sleeping.” At the resurrection of believers, the physical body is resurrected, glorified, and then reunited with the soul/spirit. This reunited and glorified body-soul-spirit will be the possession of believers for eternity in the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21-22).

A sweet reality, according to Jesus.

Luke 23:43

42Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” 43And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

There are two elements involved in "The Kingdom of Heaven," Heaven to come has been covered at least in terms that describe a final destination for thosee who abide in Chrst, but there is a "kingdom" for all those who do so NOW with Jesus as prophet and priest and king.

Jesus believed in the kingdom government of Daniel 2:44. That is the kingdom we are to pray for to come.
Jesus did Not instruct to pray to be 'taken away' to the kingdom, nor to 'go up to the kingdom' but for the kingdom to come.
Come and bring the same good conditions that exist in heaven to also exist right here on Earth.
Such as enemy death will come to a final end on Earth according to 1 Corinthians 15:24-26; Isaiah 25:8.

Originally there was No comma (,) after the word you. ( KJV added the comma )
Also, please note Acts 2:27 because the day Jesus died, Jesus did Not go to heaven. Jesus went to hell the day he died.
( Biblical hell meaning ' the grave for the sleeping dead ' as per John 11:11-14; Ecclesiastes 9:5; Psalms 115:17; 146:4 )
So, the promise Jesus made to the robber was that truly I tell you today, you will be ( future tense ) with me in Paradise.
That is also why the future tense is used at Acts 24:15 that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection....
That robber will be part of the sweet-reality of a coming happy-and-healthy physical resurrection on Earth for the righteous and the unrighteous. (Wicked are destroyed forever - Psalm 92:7).
ALL who died before Jesus died (John 3:13) are Not called to heaven, but to be part of the humble meek who will inherit the Earth. They, including the robber, will be earthly subjects of God's kingdom as mentioned at Psalm 72:8, 12-14 when Jesus will have earthly subjects or citizens from sea to sea when Earth will become a beautiful paradisical garden as Eden originally was taking place during Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth begins.

Those called to heaven have a first or earlier resurrection to heaven as per Revelation 20:6; 5:9-10; 2:10.
Since the 'soul that sins dies' according to Ezekiel 18:4,20 ( or the soul can be destroyed as per Acts 3:23), then at death the dead soul goes to the grave. Jesus as the day Jesus died he went to the grave ( biblical hell ) - Acts 2:27.

Adam was a living soul as per Genesis 2:7. Adam did Not possess a soul. Adam did Not have a soul.
Adam was a soul. Adam went from non-life, to life, and at death returned to non-life - Genesis 3:19.
No post-mortem penalty, No double jeopardy for Adam just returning to dust.
A person can Not return to a place he never was before. Adam returned to where he started : dust.

Just a a repossessed house does Not move anywhere but goes back to the owner.
One's life spirit goes back to God. Just as school spirit is Not a person but an energizing force our life's spirit rests with God in order to be resurrected to either heaven or right here on Earth.

The Kingdom of Heaven is eternal and we are currently in an illusion of sorts where there is a veil over our eyes, and we are walking through this world of the knowledge of good AND evil, not realizing that we ARE in an illusion. We are currently experiencing this contrast of good and evil because we are not matured in the ways of love. Evil is just another word for "non-love". Non-love takes many forms, and causes much suffering. The veil is lifted when we love unconditionally and in that moment can see that we are surrounded by the Kingdom of Heaven even now.... though we are "on this side", even though we are in the "now". The Kingdom of Heaven is within us and all around us at the same time (in my view.) The answers lie in the verse below:

1 Corinthians 13:12 “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.”

There is a "now" and a "then" (future)...

The Kingdom of Heaven doesn't change, it's not one place traded for another... but rather when the veil is lifted from our eyes and we are matured in love, love ruling supreme in us.

Mankind is steeped in ignorance of who we truly are (beautiful creations, beloved by the Creator), and ignorant of the truth and light, LOVE. But this life, we're all in this together, journeying together and learning by trial and error. I think when we pass over, it's just the veils being lifted... and our understanding deepens and continues to deepen... love rules supreme. Where love rules supreme is the Kingdom of Heaven. We can experience it now, if all us dumb humans would suddenly start to actually "love our neighbor as ourselves".

Peace,
sparrow
