The temptation, when we first pray about something, is to lose heart or give up. But God will speak clearly to us if we press into Him. Often it is necessary to pray until you feel (and know) your spirit is breaking through.
We have the power to influence things in both realms of earth and heaven. We may never have imagined that we possess that kind of power. But Jesus says we do.
"I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." - Matthew 16:19
Just as Jesus Christ was the human body through which the living Spirit was ministered to mankind, so God has arranged that the believer who is alive with the Spirit of the living God, should minister that quickening life to another and thereby become a co-partner, a co-laborer together with God.
When we plead the Blood of Jesus we are applying the Blood to our lives and also diverse circumstances. We can compare this to the time that the Israelites were instructed to apply the blood of the lamb to their doorposts. When they did this, they were protected from the destroyer (Exodus 12). We stand on the spiritual rights that are "legally" ours through the Blood that Jesus shed.
"And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony and the loved not their life even unto death." - Revelation 12:11
Paul the apostle came to the people of the church in Ephesus, because they were living as beggars without the revelation of their inheritance, their wealth, and the unsearchable riches that they had in Christ. Paul came to remind them about who they were, what they had, and what they were becoming; because he knew that if the Church (Believers) didn't see it or have a revelation, then they couldn't walk in it.
It's the same in our day. Most Believers don't see the victorious, triumphant Church, either. But the Church is triumphant in Christ – NOW!
He is equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry. It's not just the clergy in ministry -- the "clergy vs. layman" mentality is being torn down. God is calling and He is giving an invitation to His Body all over the world to get involved and be a part of what He is doing.
When we don't have a revelation of the Father's love for us, as well as what it means to be His sons and daughters, we can easily forfeit the spiritual blessings that God has reserved for us. After all, we are joint-heirs with Christ, and God wants us to act like it!
The fact is, God made us to be blessed with every spiritual blessing. It's our inheritance. Some still need a revelation of God's love (the love of Christ living through you) and "what you have," which is your inheritance (who you are in Christ) -- spiritual blessings that God wants you to have a revelation of.
We have been blessed NOW! -- to be transformed by, the exceeding greatness of God's power.
You may feel like you are going around the same mountain over and over and over again, but this time things will be different. Psalm 97:5 says, "The mountains melt like wax in the presence of the Lord..."
Invite the Holy Spirit into whatever you are facing, whatever season you are in, and determine, "I am not going around this mountain anymore!" Many have been doing the same thing season after season with the same results. Instead of going around the same mountain over and over again, you need to start speaking to that mountain and command it to melt like wax in the presence of God.
God came as fire in the burning bush for Moses because God wanted to do so. Jesus said “I am come to scatter fire on earth” (Luke 12:49).
We were never intended to be anything else but burning bushes from which God will speak. A church too is – or should be – a burning bush. People then are attracted and hear God’s voice.
Prayer is not just words. It is our spirit making live contact with God’s Spirit. Life flows constantly from God like light from the sun. In prayer, we expose ourselves to its rays and sunbathe in the warmth of divine love. We absorb His goodness. It penetrates to the core of our existence. It is life from above.
