To answer the O P, methinks it is due to self hatred and self loathing, caused by a religion that reinforces low self esteem and teaches its followers that they are worthless worms, not worthy of their diety's love or salvation. Who could be healthy in such a situation ?
When domeone hates himself, feels that life and the world is worthless (and many Christians seem to think it is ) then who would not expect them to have a hateful attitude towards life and others ?

I think “liberal” Christianity is lipstick on a pig, but at least they try to emphasize the positive aspects of the religion rather than the negative ones.

He did actually, “the pig” in his eyes is the religion and he believes “liberal” Christianity is making an effort to put lipstick on it

The phrase is not a compliment to Christianity ....liberal or traditional

What part of loving your neighbors or your enemies do you find offensive to you? I stated that liberal Christianity doesn't hold to anything but Jesus' interpretation of the Bible which was summed up by Him as love God and love your neighbors as yourself. That offends you?

That shouldn't offend anyone, but for some reason it does?

Pentecost is the conclusion day of Passover where the first rain is promised in a small portion because the fall rain is known as such a flood, the dew is only prayed for in Passover.

The 8th day of Tabernacles is called Shemini Atzeret, an atzeret is a conclusion day of something. Just as Pentecost concluded Passover with the promised rain, so too does Shemini Atzeret conclude Tabernacles where there is a promised flood. It is a flood of spirit and it does way more than just indwell a person, it circumcises. It is the day of circumcision, and the very day that Jesus was circumcised. It could have been no other day either, each of the big events in Jesus life was appointed, and there was no greater event than the day he was appointed to be circumcised. He was born on the first day of Tabernacles, and this only points to a future birth where the whole world will be circumcised on the great eighth day of Tabernacles when the rain flood falls. Jesus spoke of this day in saying that it will be just like in the days of Noah because there is another flood appointed, but this is not rain, not water. All those scriptures about the water of Sukkot and praying for the rain of Sukkot is not about water, it is about the spirit.

Shemini Atzeret is not on the calendar at all. It is a day out of time, not in the calendar where only Israel is asked to stay a separate day after the 7 days of Sukkot, it concludes Sukkot, but it is a feast unto itself where the flood is appointed to fall.

When a flood of spirit completely engulfs people, it has covered every mountain. Mountains are just the great sages, and the wise that people run to, to hide them.

We don't see it as a virtue. We see obedience as acknowledging God is smarter than we are and Father knows best. Don't you always do what is best for your children? Infinite punishment is what sin deserves. God has provided a way of escape, but pride keeps some from accepting it.

What is really disturbing is judging God without all the facts.

It is spiritually dishonest to reject what we dislike and only accept what we like. Those with a liberal theology have made themselves omniscient instead of God. They are judging God without all of the facts. The Bible says God is always just and compassionate. When we see things that SEEM to refute that, it is because we don't have all of the information we need to make an informed judgment.

Liberal theology is trying to make what they believe the basis for Christianity. However they go beyond rejecting the things they dislike. The also reject miracles and fulfilled prophecy, which basically denies the omnipotence and omniscience of God.

It is not true of conservative Christianity.

No it isn't. Unleavened bread is the conclusion day of Passover. Pentecost is 50 days laterf and inbetween Passover and Pentecost there is the feast of trumpets.

There is no promise of anything in that feast celebration. At times God withheld the latter rain.

On the 8th day the people left their temporary homes and returned to their permanent ones. Christians are ambassadors for Christ. The trumpets has assembled the people. One day the last trumpet will sound and God ambassadors will leaven heir temporary homes and return to their permanent ones. The ones Jesus has prepared for us.

The Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost, not tabernacles.

Didn't you just tell me that you taught on the feasts the other day at Church? How do you get to know something you don't study, clearly, you don't know a thing about the feasts.

Hilarious.

Gentiles aren't invited to Shemini Atzeret, they are circumcised from the congregation. The Gentiles pack up and go home while Israel stays an extra day.

Hilarious.

Clearly anyone who says the last day of Pentecost is the last day of Passover, does not understand the feast of Jehovah.

Let me give you the skelton of what each one represents.

Passover---the crucificion

Unleavened bread ---sanctification of the believer
Firstfruits---the resurrection
Pentecost---the birth of the church and the coming of the Holy Spirit and a celebration of he first grain harvest.

Trumpets---Believers gathered for the rapture of God's people.
Day of Atonement---Israel will repent and recognize her Messiah
Booths---WE will leave our temporary homes and go to our permanent ones in heaven.

Jn 14:2a-3...I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, you may be also.
