One cannot be merciful without being meek.

One cannot be a peacemaker without being pure of heart.

One cannot be righteous without being one who mourns.

In other words the Beatitudes all describe the same kind of man and woman. The son of man. The prophet and servant of God.

Isn't that how to be perfect as God is perfect?

Being righteous is being god. Little g. Because being good is being god and being good is being righteous.

Scripture says that the word of God is upright which is righteous. So it is the word of God that makes us sons of God and righteous.

That's why Jesus summed up the beatitudes saying "be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect".

Jesus also said ``Love your enemies and bless them that curse you do good to them that hate you , and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you , that you may be sons of your Father in heaven ... be you there for be perfect , even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect Matthew 5: 44, 45, 48 ............. In difference which can only alienate God , even if the enemies never agree or forgive The ethics of the children of God is to be forgiving in position ......

Jesus spoke with the dictionary of God. He didn't think like man so when He spoke it was with the understanding of God.

Loving your enemies in regards to a child of God is trying to make peace. That is to make children of God by doing what is right and just in word and breath.

To abide in God's word and share it is loving others. That is being meek to God and serving Him in spirit and truth so as to keep His ways and walk in the light.

Walk in the light while you have it or darkness will come over you.

If you're righteous and pure of heart and a "god" why do you need Jesus?

I needed Him to show me the way.

Now I follow His example.

Blessed is He who hears the word of the Lord and keeps it.

Ever swear at somebody who cut you off on the freeway?

Looked lustfully at somebody with your right eye?

Do you sin at all?

Of all those who will be in heaven will they be there based on what they have done or on what Jesus has done?
