I used to never hear people say: "you're good" or "I'm good". It was always: "you're fine" or "I'm fine". Whenever someone says: "I'm good" I always think of Matthew 19:17: "...there is none good but one, that is, God..."

It's kindof like you never used to hear people say: "...just sayin'".

You guys are proud sinners. If you don’t sin then there’s no reason for Jesus.

What more need said?

I wouldn’t trust someone telling me to trust them to be a good person because they’re christian.

That works amongst Christians because you all know how crappy a person you are deep down inside.

It is true if you only believe it so. A man IS as he thinks in his heart. The 1 or 2 verses such as there is none good have been taken completely out of context by fundamentalists, especially by Calvinists and used by them to guilt folk into believing. The communication of the faith of the fundy if you are receptive to it, is very effective in making you feel like a worm. Jesus NEVER made anyone feel that way.

True; as most just accept what they are told a verse mans without any knowledge of context, etc. Note:

KJV Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

KJV Matthew 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

KJV Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

KJV Luke 23:50 And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just:
