John 14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.

But much of the Bible IS personal opinion. And paraphrasing, etc.
Look, my priest once made a very important point. He said, "An hour after you walk out of here, you are not going to be able to remember exactly what I said. You will remember what stayed with YOU, so we have to keep in mind that when the gospel authors wrote what they wrote, probably second- or third-hand and many decades later, they could not possibly have been quoting exactly what Jesus said."
There's plenty of personal opinion in the Bible. Paul says some absolutely ridiculous things based on his personal opinion and the culture of his time that God could not possibly have dictated to him because it's too stupid but at the time made sense to him because of culture.
No doubt that is why Jehovah gives us reminders all the time. Christians start from infancy and grow to maturity, each and every time we take in some spiritual food, much of it goes to waste, but like you said, some of it nourishes us and stays with us.
Paul was an anointed spokesman for God maam, and everything he said in the Bible is inspired of God, and can be taken as absolute truth, not just his opinion.
The Bible's teachings is exacting, however our interpretations vary greatly.

Does this suffice for an answer?
I would say that:
(A) "Keep my word" means to put it into action. If I run around saying "love thy neighbor" a thousand times a day, but in practice I give my neighbor dirty looks and do mean things to him, Jesus would say I did not "keep" his word.
(B) Parts of the Bible seem to be allegorical or written by man. Jesus also writes words into our hearts during expectant waiting.
Do you have to believe in the Bible to be a Christian?

It's almost like two different questions.
Almost.
The Bible explains Christianity and does so across cultures, unlike stories and traditions handed down by word of mouth. I think that surely must have been a big part of the reasoning for canonizing scripture.
So, yeah, basically they go hand in hand.
Even if you've never read the Bible but were taught about Christianity and accept it as true, you're going to "believe in the Bible" on some level.
Whether or not scripture is "inerrant" isn't something I've pondered much and wasn't really talked about even in the conservative tradition I was raised in. We followed scripture the best we knew how, certainly not perfectly, but also understood the historical underpinnings behind some of it without being too dismissive of things we didn't like.
"Inerrancy" is too black and white. Too easy to misunderstand contexts.
Honestly, it's not a word that makes much sense to use. Which translation gets to be "inerrant"?
Some people go down the rabbit hole of saying the KJV is and nothing else.
That's the problem, because that's the direction people will try to go in. Every letter, every syllable, has to be just perfect and original or else.
People can believe scripture can be fully true and full of truth without resorting to words like "inerrancy".
It is something I don't recall hearing much of until more recent years with the internet and learning about other denominations. Apparently "inerrant" became trendy and has since spread even to the type of congregations I grew up in.
The Word, the Logos, is Christ. The Bible tells us about the Word.

I see you are back here and as usual lying about me.What is angry about what I said? Just because truth hurts you fundies does not mean I am reacting how you are.
