It depends what you mean about "questioning God's Word." To question your interpretation of God's Word may be very important!

(I think you should, lol! )

Yikes! Check out the Book of Job and David's Psalms!!

Okay need some clarification here after re-reading your posts: is he (FFA) questioning whether the Bible is the inspired word of God, or just questioning God in general? Big difference, and should be distinguished especially for those of us just joining this thread.

And, Galatians 5:14-26!!!!!!!! Both of you brothers please read!!!!!!!! BTW, I'm on the Lord's side - BIG HAPPY GRIN!! Still loving you both (and I really mean that!!!!!)
Questioning that God's word is true....not questioning the understanding of it. I think you might need to go back and read what FFA said in his posts. As a Christian I have never questioned whether God existed or whether the Bible was true. I may have asked "why"? did all these horrible things happen to me like Jesus asked of God "Why hast thou forsaken me"? but never questioned his Word or existance.....BIG difference there.

Remember, Jesus was in the flesh and in horrendous pain. Don't you think it was more of a question of "Please let me die already"? rather than "I'm questioning your authority or what you told me"? This scripture you quoted is telling Christians to "correct" and instruct, which is exactly what I am doing here. There's nothing self-serving, self-righteous, judgemental or elitist about it, as some say is my purpose for being here. It is out of love, love for Christ and the pride I feel to be able to stand up for Him and His Word, and the hope that the Holy Spirit will start working in someone who hears the Truth. If I were selfish, I wouldn't even be here.

P.S. II Timothy 3:16- "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness..."

Christians should expect persecution, and not give in to tolerance to avoid it.

Here's what the Bible says about it"

2 Corinthians 12:10(NIV)
"That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Such is the blessed life of a Christian until Jesus returns.

I'm basing what I said on what FFA said in his posts. He is not only questioning it, he's saying that it's not true and applicable to us. Understanding the Word through the Spirit is one thing, saying it's not even true is another. See my post to Jadybug.

But it will also be the Day of the Lord, obviously, at the end of the tribulation before the 1000 year reign of Christ. The 3 1/2 years will be the second half of the AntiChrist's reign, so those left after the rapture will have to endure extreme darkness and unspeakable horrors before the destruction of all things and the 1000 year reign of Christ. Christ will be coming down out of heaven with the new Jerusalem, and there will be no more Satan or his army for those 1000 years. It's a time of total peace, worship, and celebration with our Lord and Savior.
But how do you look at Matt 25 where it says:

31: "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34: Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37: Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38: When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39: Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40: And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:"

When Jesus comes it says that he is comming with his angels...No saints mentioned. When he comes to earth to sit on his throne of glory, it does not mention that he was going back up to heaven with everyone. Sounds like he's deciding to stay and reign here on earth the moment he returns. Then he says to the goats, go into everlasting fire...No mention of 3-1/2 years of freedom to do whatever you want on earth! No mention of any more tribulation once he returns!!!

No offense, but this thread, as I've said before, is perfect proof Christians are all over the place with their interpretations of scriptures to fit their own notions yet they all claim the holy spirit leads them in ALL truth.

I'd maybe respond to this, but it sounds like a good idea for a new thread.. if it could be kept sane, lol!

Go right ahead. I've thought of the idea too, but I did not think folks would be too honest with the obvious.

Because this is talking about the final judgement, not the rapture.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 (Rapture or being "caught up")
"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."

This is what happens after the 1000 years:

Revelation 20:11-12 (Final judgement)
"Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened."

This is where arguments become so heated because there are so many interpretations of what is going to happen when. Some believe that Christians will be raptured out before the tribulation, some believe they will have to live through it, some believe the dead are not in heaven or hades but there is some sort of purgatory where your soul is "asleep" or just kind of hanging out.....there will always be debates about these things.

That's why I stress the main factor, the only thing that really matters: Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and live a Godly life. That is made crystal clear all throughout the Bible, while other things are not so clear. All else will be automatically known as soon as we die. It's God's plan, we can only surmise and try to prepare others that the end is coming, whether it's the end of the world or the end of your life.

Default A little prayer, and this was His reply! Believe it or not!!

For DOTL and the man of a thousand questions (no offence, just forgot your log and am too lazy to go back)

I prayed, and these words came into my mind, "Jesus (The, "Word" BTW) the same yesterday, and today, and forever."
Hebrews 13:8!!! And when I took a look at the before it and after scriptures I was amazed!! Read it and see if you don't get a chill down your spine like I did.

You go GOD!!! Speak Lord, Speak!!!

P.S. Until I looked it I did not remember the before and after verses!!!
