The Spirit of G-d is:

The Holy Spirit IS the True Nature of God revealed, described, and demonstrated unambiguously by Jesus. He IS agape love, kindness, mercy, compassion, gentleness, unconditional acceptance, empathy, sympathy, tolerance, long-suffering, decency, friendliness, peacefulness, joyfulness, understanding, care, concern, solicitude, solicitousness, sensitivity, tender-heartedness, soft-heartedness, warm-heartedness, warmth, love, brotherly love, tenderness, gentleness, mercifulness, leniency, lenience, consideration, kindness, humanity, humaneness, kind-heartedness, charity, benevolence, and He is non-judgmental.

The spirit of man is carnal, indiscriminate, undisciplined animal instincts for survival, pleasure, and avoidance of pain.

That's MODalism Patrick!

And gnosticism. The Apostle Paul explicitly condemned gnosticism.

Baptist, can you end the bickering, and give an answer to Richards question?

Wouldn’t it be better to have the spirit of G-d rather than the natural spirit of man?...

So, the spirit of G-d is His true nature, the spirit to which a man should aspire to...To replace his own true nature with that of G-d’s true nature...

Yes! We need to try to get as close as possible no matter how imperfectly. Those states of mind are the key. When we are in them, we cannot sin. When we are not, we are vulnerable to sin. But it is important to recognize that we are not all one thing or the other. We are an alloy that will probably require some refining to fit in our new incorruptible spiritual body.

So, what must one strive for to obtain the spirit of G-d?...

The discipline to love God and each other every day and repent when we fail by trying to be in one or more of those states of mind associated with God's Holy Spirit as often as possible.
