The Genesis story doesn't actually have God creating the universe out of nothing and can be understood, in keeping with the other ancient Near East creation stories, as creating the universe out of already existing material.

My question to God would be why do animals have to suffer when it was man who messed things up? h54, read up or watch a few youtube videos on people who met their pets in heaven after a NDE. I can't imagine some people think God just lets animals live briefly, suffer, then die , for good?

I haven't liked that part either Zero, but keep in mind, that suffering started with the sin of Adam, these things have to be until the settling of the issue is complete. Soon satan will be bound, and those alive will personally live the contrast between satans domain, and Jehovah's Kingdom. Then when satan is loosed, we will be able to choose on which side to stand.
