I have been following the JBF/pcamps discussion across the forum regarding the man of war and the prince of peace, and this passage came to mind

Jas 5:10**Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
Jas 5:11**Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Jas 5:12**But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

There is timing, and processes, at work it seems to me that requires patience

What are your thoughts?

I believe that what you have underlined is certainly true of the Lord's final dealings with Job.

Of course, the Lord wasn't against Job in the first place; He was actually contending for him.

Consider the story of Job though...His suffering was a testing of sorts, (due to a little bet between God and Satan). LOL

I question WHY such a bet was taken in the first place? this was after Satans fall...why would God be engaging with him like this?

And really I also wonder Satan even had the ability to influence Jobs life in the way he did, (why would God 'allow' a supposed rebel/fallen angel, that kind of access to humans?) it doesnt make sense.

To those who would reply by saying humans must be 'tested'...OK, if that is accurate, then Satans fall is not what the bible claims it to be then...it is simply Satan doing what he was created for, (no rebellion involved at all)...plus, humans do not require some 'fallen angel' to be tested by God, (if that is not true, then a good deal of Christianity falls apart).

The only time people could experience the end of the Lord even with Job who was not born again in the spirit of Christ, was when sin came in and curses usually started from fallen angels which hold the curses of darkness ..... Believers would need to have sack cloth and ashes with repentance would bring the Lord back ...... Where with Christians today would need to repent though Jesus and God's spirit would be there again
