The biggest trick of knowledge is too much concentration on the past, irrelevent facts or forecasting the future. The Christian should strive to be present in the moment, actively loving each other and eschewing judgement. Daily prayers will help keep you where you need to be.

The Screwtape Letters! I read it many years ago, and it has remained one of my favorite books. To this day, whenever I'm aware of feeling virtuous, Wormwood from The Screwtape Letters comes to mind.

You don't understood those verses you quoted. They don't mean what you think they mean. And I can point out eternal security verses which I have done in the past. But I would just be wasting my time and don't particularly care to.
