Alpha....spot on...

If anyone would read their Bibles then they would know this verse..

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

No.

Bottom line: Jesus is worthy of worship because HE IS God.

<Now the troops march in to tell you worship doesn't mean worship.....read your bible for yourself...don't take my word or their words....take God's Word!>

Who does Jesus worship?

His model for us was to worship God the Father.....but His allowing His followers to worship Him shows us that He and the Father are one. He said that, too. It, too, is in your Bible.

In your bible too is more evidence that while they are united in purpose there is a hierarchy...they are separate.

If I were in the presence of Jesus, knowing he is the SON of God, knowing the sacrifice he is making for the human race, I too would feel that I should bow in reverence or respect. However, I know that my worship to God, his father, is not the same.

Why would Jesus use the relationship of father/son, which conveys a hierarchy...a father is head of the family...the son is not on the same "level". They are separate...oh well...

This isn't a trinity discussion...so I'll leave it at that.

In Matthew 14:32-33, Jesus accepted worship from His disciples: “And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, ‘Truly you are the Son of God."

From the beginning of time to the present day, in the Jewish culture, only the one true God can be worshipped. Notice in the above Scripture that their actions show that they acknowledged Jesus as being divine. Notice also that Jesus didn’t correct them or say, “Wait a minute here. Don’t you see that I’m just a mortal prophet? Don't worship me!” No, He accepted their worship, knowing He really was God in human flesh. Since He is the same yesterday, today and forever, I don't think that anything is going to change regarding this matter.

He didn't correct them either when they said "Truly you are the SON of God".
