–adjective 1.aroused, animated, or imbued with the spirit to do something, by or as if by supernatural or divine influence: an inspired poet. 2.resulting from such inspiration: an inspired poem; an inspired plan.
The bible is supposedly "inspired" by god right? Well inspired doesn't mean written word for word verbatim! It's like a songwriter saying that god inspired them to write a song....or my mother inspired me to write a poem. "mother" wouldn't be there holding the pen forcing the words onto the paper would she???

Seriously??? This is your argument to prove the Bible is wrong?
The Bible isn't "supposedly" anything..........it is the inerrant Word of God, written by God through men.
I don't think Dani was making an arguement to prove the bible wrong..I also believe that men were inspired by God to write the bible..
Inspiration through faith.....and what a show of faith they had to have survived through the millenium, even with so many people claiming the bible was dictated by God , but needed their personal interpretations and editing of what God really says....
I thank God for those faithful people and thank him for "inspiring" them..
And I thank God for all the inspiration he gave to man throughout the ages to make sure that the books survived so that we could build our faith, our hope, our love on the inspiration God gave them so many thousands of years ago

The Bible is the Word of God it was written by the prophets and was inspired by the Word of God. No in a physical sense God wasn't actually writing the words down but he was telling them in a Spiritual sense what to write.
2 Peter 1:20-21 "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophets themselves, or because they wanted to prophesy. It was the Holy Spirit who moved the prophets to speak from God".
Scripture did not come from the prophets own invention or interpretation. God inspired the writers so their message is authentic and reliable. God faithfully communicated with the writers in such a way to ensure that the message He intended is what we have today.

inspiration means truth is in the writings, period . . . but the human mind is NOT a fixed phenomenon . . . it develops and populates the cognitive arena with concepts and ideas relevant to the knowledge and culture of the time during which it is developed. That cognitive context and CONTENT limits the available ways spiritually received ideas can be formulated and communicated to others. This is indisputable. There isn't a consciousness alive today (other than among primitive societies) that is as limited and circumscribed conceptually as those who recorded the scriptures.
If a concept was NOT even within the understanding of such minds . . . HOW could they possibly communicate it except by the closest or most familiar concepts available to them . . . which were NOT very knowledgeable or sophisticated and in no way compatible with a 21st century mind raised in a free-thinking, self-directed society. They knew nothing about voluntary self-denial . . . they only denied themselves what they wanted under orders in obedience to whoever or whatever was "in charge." Self-denial on principle in support of a higher purpose wasn't a normal part of their understanding or experience.
Continuing to simplistically read these cognitively limited "communications" literally is unsupportable for any 21st century mentality seeking the spiritual truth embedded in the primitive concepts.

So in others words, you are quite certain that we are wrong but you are not certain you're right? and if that's the case, how do you know we are wrong?
