Betsey the belief that there's a hell that is hardly a best kept secret when most of christendom believes it exists and has put most of the known world in fear of it.
Hell's best kept secret is that it doesn't exist and is a mistranslation of four Greek and Hebrew words, none of which referred to the current torture chamber people now imagine. Most modern translations have started to correct this and yet people still fail to pay attention, just like they insist on interpreting things literally that are obviously figurative/metaphorical.
You know, i believe the main reason for "apostasy" is the false doctrine of hell itself. Along with the facade of love which many fundamentalists use to conceal their elitist Ideas. Because organized religions especially orthodox and fundamental Christianity, are disingenuous and people are waking up. Unfortunately that means that many people will throw out the baby with the bathwater when they do. Plastic Christians keep tallies on "decisions" and believe they are saving people when in fact all their doing is setting people up to fall most of the time. Its just really hard to take these people seriously ...
Oh yeah ... In that first video he forgets to mention Jesus said ... "all things are possible for god" ... Including the salvation of the rich man.
