Obviously a John 8:44 person is not a brethren to anybody in Christ !!
I'll bet my life we have some atonement of Christ believers but that's not all the bible to know what you are. ( 1 Thessalonians 5:12)
Before I call anybody a brethren who have the bible evidence of being
a brethren believer in :
John 3:5 --- Water baptism
Hebrews 4----Sabbath teaching
Romans 6:1----Repentance to get grace
Romans 7:2-3---Calling all remarriages to other divorcees adultery always
Romans 12:17---Calling self defense sin all the time
1 Timothy 2:9-14--Calling women preaching and pastoring in church sin
1 Peter 3:3 ----Calling costly array and jewelry wearing sin
2 Timothy 3:16---Calling all the bible a salvation teaching
Isaiah 64:6--Calling the wisdom of man a filthy rag only
2 Peter 1:20-21---Calling all the bible a God intrepreted book only
2 Peter 1:20-21---Calling all the bible a God made book only
1 Thess. 5:12---Knowing folks with the book enough before you call them whatever
2 Cor. 6:14-17---Spotting John 8:44 people out and knowing what to do.

Rev. 22:18-19--Calling experts smarter then God the wrong book to read, write, buy or sell all the time.
1 Cor. 8:2--Finding contentment in the wisdom of God even if we get off track with the book every now and then
Matthew 4:4--Calling daily Christian living the whole book and not our entire common sense rules to have it.
Matthew 5:18-20 --Esteeming all the book when common sense seems more intellect then the book on righteousness.
