Openly gay 'Lord of the Rings' star admits to a habit of tearing out the Bible pa**age that condemns homosexuality -- Leviticus 18:22 -- every time he finds one in his hotel room. The pa**age: "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
"I'm not proudly defacing the book," he a**erts, "but it's a choice between removing that page and throwing away the whole Bible."
I wonder what would have happened if it were a Koran and Ian ripped pages out of it and bragged about it? The Muslims would be wanting his head and his acting days would probably be over.
The wonderful thing about all this though is that God is at peace with Ian even if he tears out every page of the bible.

We should not reckon this to him either but be at peace with Ian too.

In all actuality, even I find this to be pretty much childish. The Bible pretty much condemns everyone in some form or fashion. You don't see those who love to eat oysters tearing out the sections of Leviticus or Deuteronomy that talk about eating shellfish as being sinful.
Then again, I suppose it boils down to his reasoning. If he feels he's been persecuted based on those sections of the Bible simply for his sexual orientation than I am more prone to applauding his creative effort and his resistance to being subjugated.
But, if he's just doing it to promote his own cause or attract attention like so many Hollywood stars then I think he's just acting like a narcissistic attention-wh*re.
sooner or later, all who dont like what the christian church stands for, will always turn not only on the Christians, but also on the Bible too.
They hate God....the Bible is just caught in the middle of a battle they are in with their Lord...
