I checked this out on hoax/slayer and the White House will celebrate "Winter Holiday" this year, not Christmas.. I hope that the people in this country wake up soon.
Thought you might be interested in this information from the White House. This isn't a rumor; this is a fact.We have a friend at church who is a very talented artist. For several years she, among many others, has painted ornaments to be hung on the various White House Christmas trees. The WH sends out an invitation to send an ornament and informs the artists of the theme for the year.
She got her letter from the WH recently. It said that they would not be called Christmas trees this year. They will be called Holiday trees. And, to please not send any ornaments painted with a religious theme.
She was very upset at this development and sent back a reply telling them that she painted the ornaments for Christmas trees and would not be sending any for display that left Christ out of Christmas.
Just thought you should know what the new residents in the WH plan for the future of America. If you missed his statement that "we do not consider ourselves a Christian Nation" this should confirm that he plans to take us away from our religious foundation as quickly as possible.

I don't celebrate Christmas for various verity reasons, and neither did our founders. However, those that are Christians and desire to celebrate it are free to do so (even though I would try to encourage them not to) in this country. Anyone can change the name of anything, but to the individual it still has the original meaning for them. What would Christians in America do if Christmas was outlawed?? Understand it will never be. Why? because of $$ it's a big part of the economy. The name may be changed for secular reasons and in secular places, but it will still remain.
Your statement, "Just thought you should know what the new residents in the WH plan for the future of America." I could go into a whole host of things about BHO, but that would be for another forum. In America many Presidents have changed some things for their time in office, but once a new President takes over they can over ride it. For example in 1993 Bill Clinton signed DADT (Don't Ask Don't Tell) but BHO says he will end it. It's a back and forth game really.

Look around you were not. We used to be but sadly not anymore. The America today is not the America of the 30s, 40s, or 50's. We should be more concerned about the declaration of the gospel to change men's hearts, and then that will change the country then about changing the country.

Rather than quote mine Obama's words why did you not include the entire statement?....What he said was. "Although ... we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, or a Jewish nation, or a Muslim nation," said Obama. "We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."
Usually, those whack chain emails give themselves away. They try to discourage the reader from doing any form of fact checking.
