Before the jesus movement , american churches were very racist , a lot of them preaching racism openly from the pulpit. They were also very legalistic about dress , hair , and many other unimportant things.
Although there are still churches like that today , there are not as many and there are many good churches today. So how much do we owe to the original jesus people of the 60s for bringing these changes in? How much should we thank them for the changes they ushered in?
And what would the american church look like had they never exsisted? Still the same as it was before them?
Looked like a Jesus lovefest going on must be good!
We are all one and color does not matter.
