It seems as though some of you won't believe even if Christ HIMSELF taps you on the shoulder and say: "I am He"! Yet, that too.......has been foretold!

Betsey what the bible claims to predict on this matter is HARDLY prophetic and this is why I CHOOSE to believe otherwise. Again, in regard to earthquakes, the bible does NOT say there will be MORE earthquakes or MORE POWERFUL earthquakes. It just says there will earthquakes in DIVERS ("different") places. This is as impressive as me saying the sun will rise tomorrow in different places bad weather will happen in different places. Tell me different and I think you know you will be dishonest.
Furthermore, while I am NOT a preterist or any kind of "ists," I do share a similar view as theirs in realizing that such "prophecies" were for a time long past. Looking out for them to be fulfilled today is an exercise in futility.

Betsey, the argument is with Betsey Lane's ASSERTION that weather patterns and NORMAL natural disasters are somehow linked to ancient prophecies heralding the return of a cosmic hero. I am just saying you are not doing justice to your own bible because of what you WANT to believe.
