What I have been seeing is that with all of the different doctrines that there seems to be more than just the words that are written in the bible. If you look at the words written and intellectually read them they will support all sorts of different interpretations --- preterism, futurism, once saved, always saved, UR, ET.

A website that I have come across has some really good points about, just as Jesus IS and was and will be the bible IS to us today, as well as was to the Jews and will be for those who read after we die -- it is to every generation......

This sort of explains the feelings that I have had when reading Revelation that physically prophecy was fulfilled in 70AD with the destruction of the physical temple and judgment on the physical "People of God" Babylon --- but there is a spiritual application to the Spiritual people of God who have 100 of differing doctrines and think they are rich but are poor, think they see but are blind, think they are clothed but are naked,

I feel poor and blind and naked and know that I need a saviour to save me, and I know that while I am in this flesh that I have faith and hope and am waiting for my redemption from this body of sin.

Meerkat,

Doesn't this site promote a "hidden wisdom" not revealed in the scriptures?

No .... not that I can see ... what it says is you need the Holy Spirit to spiritually discern what the scriptures say ....

Rightly dividing the word of truth.

Amen.

There is a world of things we've translated as natural, while the truth (imo) is completely spiritual - like the common belief: "We go to heaven when we die".

But isn't the Christian life about dying to the flesh? Isn't "heaven" the kingdom of God? Christians are (wrongly) content to live this life as they are and to be "raptured" or to go on after they're physically dead - this to me misses the point...

...among a lot of other things.
