Only through faith in Jesus Christ, you will be saved. No good people will be saved, denying the Messiah, is the wosrt sin you could do. After he died for your sin and took the wrath of God, denying him is just unthinkable. Abraham, Moïse and all the prophet were saved because they had faith in God. Jesus came for them and for us. Jesus came for the sinners.

Jesus died for the humble, the one that knew they needed God to be saved.

Rom 5:6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

Every self righteous people will realise that there good work was disgusting for God because they did not trust him.

There is none righteous, no, not one;
11 There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
12 They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”[b]
13 “ Their throat is an open tomb;
With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;[c]

“ The poison of asps is under their lips”;[d]
14 “ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”[e]
15 “ Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 Destruction and misery are in their ways;
17 And the way of peace they have not known.”[f]
18 “ There is no fear of God before their eyes.”[g]

Do not listen to the power of this age.

Let God be true and every man a liar. Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father except through me. If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

Finn -- it is like there is only a remnant of you that will enter the kingdom of God All that is of your flesh will not enter.

What is flesh is flesh and what is spirit is spirit

If you sow to the flesh, you reap destruction........

Look at those passages in Romans and Corinthians - in corinthians it mentions that a seed is sown and it is sown in corruption

All flesh has the breath of life from God, I believe that is the seed that is planted in corruption ...........

Please read the book "Hope Beyond Hell" it will answer all your questions about UR. It is not a book about UR but it is a book about "Hope" beyond hell. It clearly shows that there is a need for a Saviour. Jesus Christ, but because of His sacrifice on the cross there is hope even beyond this physical death. Just in 1st and 2nd Peter alone it speaks of how Jesus "after crucifixtion" decended into the spiritual prisons and preached to those lost in the flood at the time of Noah. Obviously there is hope because Jesus preached the Good News to them!! UR does not negate our need for a Saviour. Just the opposite. Because Jesus came to save us from "our sins". Paul said to "strive to obtain the PRIZE of the HIGH CALLING of God in Christ Jesus to become sons of God , to sit with Him in His throne and to rule and reign with Him a thousand years". Paul said that he was afraid that even though he preached this very thing he was afraid he himself might not attain to this high calling. There is far more to "salvation" then meets the eye. Jesus Christ died on the cross the redeem the human race. Which means to buy back. Which He did. That is the free gift. However each one must be justified at the cross. Then there is the sanctification process.(growing up) then on to glorification. Scripture is clear. There is a high calling. When we were save we received power to "become" sons of God. That is the high calling. All will be saved yes but not all will attain to this high calling and will suffer loss. The bible is also clear that there is "judgement" . There are spiritual prisons. Obviously that is where those that were lost in the flood were. But judgement , punishment after death is not "eternal". It is for a duration and for the purpose of "correction". No one wants to go through this. But there is HOPE BEYOND HELL!! We are called to be overcomers in his life. All the promises in the letters to the churches in revelatons are "for those that overcome". There is nothing we can do in and of ourselves. We are called to "follow Him". Be obediant to His voice". Submit to Him. And HE WILL BE THE OVERCOMER within us all!! YES OH YES WE NEED A SAVIOUR!! KING JESUS!! In the book of Revelation there is a picture of a figure riding a white horse wearing ONE crown. That is Jesus when HE overcame the world!! Later in revelations there is a picture of a figure riding a white horse wearing MANY crowns. That is JESUS being the overcomer within us all!! As we surrender to Him. As we are obediant to Him!! As wel DIE TO SELF!! We must have our flesh crucified too! We must DIE to SELF !! And the DEAD in CHRIST will rise first!!

Please read the book "Hope Beyond Hell". It is an incredible read!!

The 'remnant' does not refer to flesh, it refers to small part of Jewish population.

The Bible doesn't say he preached the good news to them, it only says he made a proclamation to them. Also, the word used for 'spirits' pneumasin refers to angels, or the fallen angels in this case. Although people have spirits too, the Bible never refers to people as spirits. Only angels are referred to that way.

So, whatever Christ told the angels was probably not what they wanted to hear. IMO He told them that he had won the battle against Satan, and the countdown for the day of judgement had begun. But again, the Bible doesn't say what he told them, so all we can do is speculate.

For those who are tired of hearing the clanging-gong message of doom relentlessly spouted by hopeless religious teachers, Hope Beyond Hell is a fantastic resource:
Hope Beyond Hell - Hope Beyond Hell

Jesus holds the KEYS of DEATH and HELL and He is ALIVE FOREVERMORE! Praise God!
