My air in the front of my Durango works just fine, but the other day the rear air conditioner started blowing out just hot air. Could someone give me some helpful hints about what could be wrong with the air in the back of my Durango. Thanks!
I have a similar problem with my 2002 Durango. One day the air was fine and the next day it was just warm. It didn't matter if it was set on hot or cold. A mechanic told me that it could be the serpo (sp?) motor which is up under the glove box. He explained that it had or was more like a door or flapper that will open one side for hot and close off the cold side and vice versa. I have already replaced the control panel on the dash, however, he said that the replacement could be faulty also as it was taken off of a wrecked vehicle. I tend to think it is the flapper issue, but will try again with the control panel first since this is the lesser of the two evils. By the way, the coolant is fine as is the clutch and all other parts. Good luck.
i have a 2002 durango that the air works good but it seems the switch that changes from max to reg to defrost isnt working correctly... i am getting a lot of outside smells in the truck?? any ideas??
If the refrigerant levels are correct and the rear expansion valve is still working, then check the rear 3- mode door actuator.
