Personal preference. I don't care for the styling. I prefer the styling of the car it's based upon. To me, they made a nice looking car into an ugly car.
I don't care much for it either. Kinda like the indestructible Civics and Corollas from the good ole days. Nothing to look at but a reliable workhorse. Good on Dodge.if they built something that will last.
I hate to draw too definitive of a conclusion based on the CR survey alone. All the survey is really doing is giving statistical basis and rankings for the purpose of analyzing a lot of anecdotal evidence.... but it is still anecdotal evidence. It is not like they are comparing warranty repair rates or things like that.
Also as far as the Dart goes, it is just now starting it's second model year (2014). Not sure how much I want to assume about the general reliability of a car based a history of 1 year. Particularly when you get into the particulars (it being an Americanized Fiat, built in a plant which has given us such mediocre producst as the Calibur and Neon, and using new to North America drivetrains).
At least with Accords, Camrys, etc, you have a very long and comprehensive history to review. Past performance is not always a great predictor of future returns, but it is also hard to imagine companies which have been giving solid and reliable cars consistently suddenly falling off a major cliff.
