Fiat owns the masseratti and alfa romeo label. But man they did indeed make some incredibly crappy cars that are famous for nothing more than the ability to fall apart and break down.
FIAT and Chrysler is just what the world needs - Chrysler has good truck technology and needs a world market, Chrysler needs good small cars and FIAT and Alfa need a US distro channel.
Fiat 500, Alfa Mi.To, 159 - all cars that will help Chrysler sales. Plus, they have great style.
Actually, Italian cars in general were unreliable - I think it was a factory option. The good news is they have become much better cars over the years, and could compete in the US today.
I'd love to see these cars on US roads:

The Fiat/Chrysler alliance is very good news in my opinion, Chrysler has great trucks, and Fiat has great small car technology. This is an alliance that may actually work!
hope it works.
But I just can't get F ix I t A gain T ony and K Car out of my mind!
And I've owned 3 Fiats and 2 PT Cruisers, been to 2 rodeos and a county fair.
But I've never ever owned a K car.
