Thanks, yes, that's the one. Quite a shock when you see it for the first time. I'm a little bit surprised that at the right price (the depths of which apparently haven't ever been reached) someone would just say the hell with the surroundings, I'm going to close the drapes and live inside the house. But I don't know to what extent the interior is intact.

12171 Mosteller Rd

Amazingly intact. Great house. Was in there when it was the Toetman School of Music. At least one of the bathrooms at the time as still original. I wish I had the funds/vision for that house.

Interesting, I didn't realize it had changed hands in 2008 for $601,000. And it's appraised at about $25K less than that. The current owners must be smokin' somethin' to think they can get anywhere a million for it.

In that location, they must be smoking more than a little. It is a very nice house, but what are you going to do with it?

That was a Sherrif's sale, which is why the price was so low.

I would love to have it as a bed and breakfast with space to rent for weddings and other special events. But, alas, no money...

Default another west side house

On westbound River Road, just past Anderson Ferry, is a funky huge stone bungalow. I call it a bungalow because it has a steep sloped roof with dormer windows. It has a cupola on the roof which must have been usable at one time to look out over the Ohio River but now looks quite dangerous.
It is another somewhat creepy looking place because it is very dark looking, even on a sunny afternoon.
I know the house is occupied because there's a satellite dish on it! But it looks too oppressive for my taste.

Wow, that's impressive. Built in 1865 according to the auditors site. It's a three family building now.

Default to sandasene

How did you find the information about this house, and so quickly? I'm impressed!
This is the sort of house that Nancy Drew would love.

Using the property search menu on the Auditor's site in conjunction with Google street view in Google maps you can find out much.
