This is a link to the orginal size. It is still hard to determine where specific landmarks are though.

Many can be discerned by the X way interchanges.

Thanks! As soon as I get a minute, I'll layer a translucent street map over it in photoshop. This is a great tool. Next time someone wants to locate an Asian enclave in Cincinnati, we will be right on it.

If there's anything these maps show it's this ... still. the majority of blacks live in the city core and whites live on the outskirts and this applies to every metro in the gallery.

... question though ... how updated are these? What census is this from?

I know, I still thought that the map was interesting though, and thought that you guys would find it interesting as well. Not being from Cincinnati, I really could only make out the Ohio River and a couple of the neighborhoods. The least they could of done was show the interstates for a better reference point.

2000 Census, so it is probably a little different now.

Looking at this presentation

Race and ethnicity: Cincinnati | Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/walkingsf/5010389993/#sizes/z/in/set-72157624812674967/ - broken link)

you can see little squares on the map, which, when you cursor over them, identify different neighborhoods/suburbs. This helps in reading the maps a bit.

The squares are not very accurately drawn. The box labeled Fairfax is clearly Madisonville, and some of the other neighborhoods are not centered very well.
