Default population

In this universe, no.
In an alternate universe where the population growth continued like it did in the 1800s, yes.

I wouldn't want LA's population. Do you know how many problems come with just adding a few more thousand people are? Steady and slow growth rates are the way to go.

No, not a chance....unless they are threatened by a rogue meteor and in the process of evacuating, they all flock here.

Seriously, though...no, it won't happen. Not in our lifetime anyway.

Imagine the following when comparing the size of LA to Cincinnati...

Look at a map and find the following points in or near Southwest Ohio: Look for Maysville, Kentucky - Washington CH, Ohio - Richmond, Indiana - and Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Now, draw a shape over SW Ohio using those cities as the corner points. See how big that area is? Picture a contiguous populated area that covers that entire area, and that's how big Los Angeles is. And it's all developed...no rural space in that area. I highly doubt we will ever see that in SW Ohio.

There's no way Cincinnati will get that big.

Default rogue meteor

Well, we can combine every disaster movie and TV show ever made and as far as I know, Cincinnati survives all but two of them. All the survivors would have to move here.
Maybe we should write a script?
The only two shows that had Cincinnati destroyed were 2012 (all but Africa sank into the ocean), and the TV series Jericho, in which we DID see Cincy get nuked.

Someday the whole nation will be populated like LA or New York.

Ugh.

Imagine Cincy's urban core (including N.Ky) becoming as densely populated as cities like Prague, Copenhagen or Barcelona. Picture both sides of the river with several dozen high-rises, but no stadiums. Then stroll through blocks of pedestrian plazas, walkways, and alcoves enlivened by hundreds of residents and visitors. Too good to be real? Maybe not soon-but check back in 2100.
