I bet that's a fun construction zone! Haven't been up that way in quite awhile.
Oh, it's going to be interesting to say the least. Construction hasn't started. It will this year though just like everything else. The whole downtown area is going to be a maze of construction to get around.

I lived in Detroit suburbs for most of my life, and I thought they used a lot of salt . . . until I moved to Cinci / Northern Kentucky. I'm amazed at how much salt is used here. I cannot keep my car clean unless I wash it every other day. Maybe it's the hills, I'm not sure, but they use a TON. I do think Cinci / N. KY does a good job with snow removal though.

I sometimes complain about the drivers, but in Detroit, most people had 4x4 SUV's or trucks that could handle the snow, my guess is most here have 2 wheel drive, since the amount / duration of the snow is much less. Still, people are way more cautious here than in Detroit.

I lived in Knoxville TN for about 18 months, and felt they were better at driving in the snow than Cinci drivers are. It might be the poor design of the interchanges in Cinci / N. KY. I think they are the worst I've seen, and cause tremendous slow downs / back ups which only get aggravated in bad weather.

Overall, I love the city, but traffic / driving is a pain.
